For over sixty years Magnolia has been an integral part of the Carlsbad community and has continually provided a rigorous and inclusive learning environment for students in grades K-5. During this time Magnolia has been identified as a National Blue Ribbon School and a California Distinguished School. Magnolia currently serves approximately 495 students in grades K-5. To meet the needs of students, families canchoose between our two International Baccalaureate World campuses. On November 8, 2022, the Magnolia ISD community members considered a $232 million bond initiative addressing the growth in our district.

Debbie Tatuaca was recently recognized with the Outstanding Hispanic Teacher Award, presented by the Brazoria County Chamber of Commerce. With more than 22 years in education, Tatuaca currently serves as a Language Proficiency Assessment Committee Facilitator. On May 9, 2022 our District Superintendent, Dr. Frank Donavan, was honored with the prestigious Tracy Gaffey Award. The award is presented to one administrator each year and is in the memory and spirit of Tracy Gaffey, long time leader in education.

In the 1920s, he was active in education policy and adult education in Berlin and Thuringia. Livestock, art and culinary talents took the spotlight during the eleventh annual Pearland Independent School District Livestock Show & Career Expo Sept 7-9 and 15.
